Student
You may decide to travel to Australia to study at the primary, secondary or tertiary school level, even English at a language school, on a temporary visa. You can also complete an apprenticeship in Australia which may lead to permanent residency.
If you complete a trade qualification, diploma or degree after 2 years (or more) fulltime study and meet the criteria, including points, English and occupation, than you may be eligible for permanent residency, under the various Skilled visa categories.
If you do not initial meet the criteria for permanent residency you may be eligible for the Professional Development temporary visa which will permit you to remain in Australia for up to 18 months to develop your English, employment experience or points to assist you obtain permanent residency.

- Postgraduate Research sector;
- Non Award sector;
- AusAID and Defence sector;
